Question 1

What is laser hair removal?

Accepted Answer

Laser hair removal uses light energy that is absorbed by the pigment in hair. It is designed to reduce hair growth over a series of sessions. Results vary from person to person, and it is not a guarantee of permanent hair removal.

Question 2

Am I a good candidate?

Accepted Answer

Suitability depends on factors such as your skin tone, hair colour and thickness, medical history, medications and recent sun exposure. We review these with you during your consultation before any treatment is recommended.

Question 3

Which areas can be treated?

Accepted Answer

We treat the full face, upper lip, chin, sides of the face, underarms, Brazilian, bikini, hands, legs, back and full body.

Question 4

Does it hurt?

Accepted Answer

Comfort varies between people and between areas of the body. Many people describe a snapping or warm sensation. We will talk through comfort options and answer your questions at your consultation.

Question 5

How many sessions will I need, and how far apart are they?

Accepted Answer

Hair grows in cycles, so treatment is spread over several sessions. We usually recommend 6 to 12 sessions. The exact number and the spacing between sessions depend on the treatment area and your individual hair growth, and will be confirmed at your consultation.

Question 6

Will it permanently remove my hair?

Accepted Answer

No one can promise that. Laser is designed to reduce hair growth, and some people need occasional maintenance sessions. Your consultation will set realistic expectations for your situation.

Question 7

How should I prepare for my appointment?

Accepted Answer

Shave the area 24 hours before your treatment. You will receive full instructions at your consultation, so please follow the guidance you are given.

Question 8

What aftercare should I expect?

Accepted Answer

Avoid direct sun exposure for 3 to 5 days after your treatment. You will receive full aftercare instructions, and you can contact us with any concerns about your skin.

Question 9

How much does laser hair removal cost?

Accepted Answer

Prices start from $80 per session for a full face, $110 for underarms and Brazilian together, $180 for full hands and full legs together, and $250 for full body. HST is added on top. These prices are a guide, and your final price is confirmed after your free consultation. Paying for a full course of 6 to 12 sessions gets you 15% off.

Question 10

Is the consultation free?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The consultation is free and takes about 30 minutes. It includes a patch test, a review of your skin, hair and health history, and a chance to ask questions.
